Bergen Volunteers is located on the corner of Passaic and Union Streets in the First Presbyterian Church (red brick with big white steeple) in Hackensack.
The entry door is on the east side of the building, and our offices are located on the second floor.
PARKING
Please do not park in the driveway.
Metered parking is available in the Area E parking lot behind the church at 404 State Street. Parking is 25¢ per half hour and is strictly enforced from 9am to 6pm.
Free parking is available in the lot at Passaic & Union, next to Gentile Funeral Home.
DIRECTIONS
From Route 4 East or West
Exit Hackensack Avenue south,
towards Hackensack. Hackensack
Avenue becomes River Street. Turn
right on Anderson Street at the Sears
building and take the next left onto
Main Street. Where Main Street
becomes one way, bear right onto
Ward Street and immediately left
onto State Street.
The municipal lot is on the right. If
you wish to park in the free lot,
continue to the light and turn right
onto Passaic Street. Union Street
is the next light – turn left and then
right into the parking lot.
From Route 17 North
Exit at Polifly Road and continue on Polifly (which becomes First Street) past Hackensack High School. When the road ends at Passaic Street, turn right onto Passaic Street and continue two lights, turn right onto Union Street and right into the parking lot.
If you wish to park in the metered lot, continue on Passaic Street to Main Street (the YMCA is on the corner) turn left onto Main Street and then bear left where the street
splits (becoming State Street). The metered lot will be on your right.​

From Route 17 South
Exit onto Route 4 East and follow the directions for Route 4 East above.

From Route 80 West
Exit #65 (Polifly Road) and follow directions for Route 17 North above.

From Route 80 East
Exit at Green Street, Hackensack, and proceed north. At Essex Street, jog right and then left onto Union Street and proceed north until you come to Passaic Street.
From the Garden State Parkway North
Exit #161 onto Route 4 East and follow directions for Route 4 East above.
From the Garden State Parkway South
Exit #163 – Take Route 17 South to Route 4 East and follow directions for Route 4 East above.
To Enter:
Enter using this white door located down the long black driveway.

Ring the second bell labeled, "Volunteer Center" and someone will buzz you in.
