In 2017 we began free tax preparation services through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program for low-income individuals, seniors, and English Language learners. Over a lifetime, VITA has served over 1,000 individuals saving $150,000 in tax preparation services and totaling over a million dollars in refunds.

New for Seniors

Now in 2023 we have expanded our offerings to include Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE). A key focus of the TCE program is to ensure clients receive full tax credits and benefits through accurate tax preparation, and by providing transparency and information about Earned Income Tax Credit and all other anti-poverty measures where they meet eligibility. In addition to providing this service, clients will be eligible to receive further tax and finance counseling through our trusted Financial Advisors, who are pre-screened and with whom we have long standing relationships. These advisors ensure that clients are knowledgeable about their finances, phishing, and other scam practices that prey on the elderly and vulnerable.
