Bergen Volunteers is a registered 501(c)(3) organization.

Bergen Volunteers will celebrate our programs that improve lives and strengthen the community at our Hearts of Gold Dinner and Auction. The event will honor exemplary individuals, companies and organizations that support our mission to turn caring into meaningful action. The evening will provide great networking, a fabulous cocktail hour, and an amazing Silent Auction. Join us to share inspiring stories, honor outstanding volunteers, and celebrate our incredible accomplishments.

Proceeds generated from the Hearts of Gold Dinner and Auction support our direct-service programs that benefit low-income youth, mothers, families, elderly and the disabled in Bergen County. Your contribution ensures we can continue to provide these life-changing programs.

There have been so many dedicated individuals, corporations and organizations that have helped shape Bergen Volunteers' programs and ensure that we are able to improve lives and strengthen the community. We introduce to you our honorees:

Beth Figman

Beth Figman is a pioneer in promoting early childhood literacy in Bergen County. She developed and managed Bergen READS in Northern New Jersey, part of a nationwide effort to help elementary school students enjoy reading and improve their literacy skills. Beth's dedication to Bergen READS has helped over 3,000 elementary-aged students match with volunteer reading buddies to promote childhood literacy. We honor her for sharing a lifetime of knowledge, skills, and management abilities towards Bergen Volunteers' newest program, Bergen READS.

Kreisler Manufacturing

Kreisler Manufacturing is committed to the professional development of its employees and encourages them to support the local community. Employees have a long history participating in our civic engagement program, Bergen LEADS. Mike Stern, CEO of Kreisler, was instrumental in the early development of Bergen LEADS. Over the past decade Kreisler has been influential in sponsoring and providing event space to recruit future leaders. We honor Kreisler for supporting Bergen County's future leaders and investing in the community at large.

Sharp Electronics Corporation

Sharp Electronics Corporation is dedicated to improving lives and strengthening the community in Bergen County. Sharp employees have long supported Bergen Volunteers' programs, including: All Wrapped Up, Mentoring Moms & Dads, Mentoring Youth, and Tools for School through their SCOPE team. Employees volunteering through Sharp's SCOPE team engage with at-risk individuals in Bergen County providing holiday gifts, summer fun, and school supplies. We honor Sharp Electronics Corporation  for their dedication in helping Bergen County's most vulnerable families take steps towards brighter futures.

Thank you to our sponsors!
