Ventures is a group of more than 250 busy, working adults who provide extra hands for special evening and weekend group projects at area non-profit agencies.

| Types
of projects each month might include any of the
following: |

 |
| |
- Socializing with senior citizens at a monthly luncheon
- Clearing trails at a nature center
- Accompanying disabled children or adults on an outing to a ball game or picnic
- Running a holiday party for homeless children
- Ushering at a concert for an arts organization
- Working at a fundraising event to help with registration and other "day-of " assignments

Every month, Volunteer Ventures publishes a calendar of projects for which volunteer assistance is needed. Members of Volunteer Ventures meet the first Tuesday of every other month at 7:15 p.m. at the Volunteer Center of Bergen County to sign up for projects, learn about community activities and socialize. Volunteer Ventures also sponsors social events during the year such as parties and sporting events.
Volunteer Ventures annual dues are $25. New members can participate in events during a 2 month trial period before making a membership commitment, completing membership form and paying the dues.

are provided with a New Member Orientation, held after each general meeting, before signing up for projects. |
