Non-Profit Training and Resource Institute

Mentoring Program Support

Our Mentoring Youth program, which helps kids age 3-18 see and take steps to achieve a brighter future, provides a range of activities such trips to the Bronx Zoo, Museum of Natural History, minor-league sports activities, etc.

Bergen LEADS
Bergen LEADS is a community learning and leadership program for adults who live and/or work in
Bergen County. Each class of 30 aspiring and acknowledged leaders meets monthly to dissect issues, debate viewpoints and develop approaches to community problems.
Patron $5,000
Provide general support to prepare the next generation of leaders. Prominent placement in publicity; color logo on Volunteer Center website; listing in graduation program.
Scholarship Sponsor $2,000
Sponsor full tuition for one Bergen LEADS participant for one seminar year. Placement in publicity; listing on website and in graduation program.
Community Forum/Graduation Sponsor $250 - $2,500
Each seminar year culminates with a community forum in which participants tackle and address a pivotal issue affecting our community, which is followed by a graduation ceremony. Color signage at event; listing in program; publicity.

Community Volunteer Services
The core of our mission is to connect people with volunteer opportunities. We do this by annually publishing the Guide to Volunteering, a 100+ page resource listing hundreds of volunteer opportunities and information about volunteering. We also manage a comprehensive online searchable database of volunteer opportunities at www.bergenvolunteers.org.
Guide to Volunteering Sponsor $5,000
Sponsor the annual printing and distribution of 3,000 copies of the well-regarded Guide to Volunteering. The Guide is sent free of charge to 56 school districts and 65 libraries throughout Bergen County and distributed upon request to thousands more individuals, businesses, community and faith-based organizations. Full page ad in the Guide; color logo on website; featured in publicity.
Volunteer Opportunities Database Sponsor $1,000-$2,500
Sponsor the Volunteer Opportunities database accessed by more than 120,000 people annually. Color logo on website; quarter or half-page ad in Guide to Volunteering.

Helps volunteers age 55+ respond to community needs by giving of their time and talents.
