Do you have a school requirement for Junior Honor Society, a service club, graduation requirement? Are you looking for a Mitzvah project or do you need to complete your service for confirmation? Here are some examples of projects you can do: doing arts and crafts with senior citizens, helping elementary school children with homework, serving meals to people living in group homes or homeless shelters, working in parks or gardens, running and walking with disabled kids, and making holiday cards for seniors at your local community center.

Karate Aide - 13 and older, volunteers help children ages 4-8 follow instructors directions in learning karate.

Crafty Volunteers – 12 and older, if you love crafts and would like to spend time with older adults sharing your talents, we promise you a rewarding experience. Residents love to cut, paste and color. Come alone, or organize a group.
Entertainers, Performers, Musicians – 12 and older, if you can sing, dance, play a musical instrument, perform magic or clown around, then Bright Side Manor is the place for you. Our residents love to have fun and become easily engaged!

Adopt-A-Bubbe – 14 and older, call lonely, homebound seniors each week for conversation and companionship.
Office Volunteer –14 and older, help with general office work, including computers, files, and telephones.
Food Pantry Volunteer –11 and older, work in the agency’s food pantry, receiving, sorting and shelving items.
